Vivo X200s Officially Teased Ahead of April 21 Launch Alongside X200 Ultra

Vivo X200s

Vivo is set to expand its flagship lineup with the upcoming Vivo X200s, which will launch on April 21, 2025, in China, alongside the Vivo X200 Ultra. The brand recently showcased the X200 Ultra in all its color options, and now it’s the X200s’ turn to grab the spotlight. Vivo dropped an official video teaser highlighting the smartphone’s sleek design and new features, building anticipation ahead of the launch.

Stylish Design and Color Options

The teaser reveals that the Vivo X200s will come in four distinct colors, showcasing a flat panel similar to the X200 Ultra. A closer look at the frame reveals antenna lines on all four sides, confirming a metal build for a more premium feel. The device features a centered punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera and, interestingly, introduces a Dynamic Island-like feature, marking a UI upgrade that blends functionality with visual flair.

The rear panel design incorporates a splicing glass finish, keeping the signature circular camera module, albeit with a narrower lens ring for a sleeker look.

Display and Build

The X200s will sport a 6.67-inch flat OLED LTPS display with a 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, moving away from the micro-quad-curved display seen on its predecessor. With ultra-thin bezels on three sides, users can expect an immersive viewing experience.

Performance and Power

Under the hood, the Vivo X200s will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 Plus—an overclocked version of the standard Dimensity 9400—offering improved performance and efficiency. A 6,000mAh single-cell battery fuels the device, supported by 90W wired fast charging and, for the first time in the series, 50W wireless charging.

Camera and Biometrics

The triple-camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor, an ultra-wide lens, and a periscope telephoto camera. Notably, the periscope lens also supports macro photography, enabling high-quality close-up shots. Security is handled by an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, known for its speed and reliability—even with wet fingers.

Durability and Protection

The phone maintains IP68/IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, while the metal middle frame further enhances durability.

The Vivo X200s appears to be a well-rounded flagship offering with design enhancements, powerful internals, and user-focused features like the Dynamic Island-style UI. While pricing is still under wraps, it’s expected to sit competitively in the premium segment. All eyes are now on April 21, when Vivo officially unveils both the X200 Ultra and X200s in China.
